Zebras In Public, Real Good Time Music

When I put up a request on our Anger Boot Facebook page for lesser known bands I was blown away to receive Zebras In Public from our subscriber Kelly Houston. As a local band out of Cincinnati Ohio, Zebras in Public have been rocking the stages of the local scene for some time now. Each member of the band has a unique, but hardy background in music which comes together for an eclectic sound that is sure to make you sit back and enjoy the jam.

If I had to pick my setting for their brand of music, I would have to say Zebras in Public are intended to be heard live. They are self-taught musicians and songwriters who have a passion for music and good times. As they say on their website at http://www.zebrasinpublic.net “The public is a conglomerate of different races, religions, nationalities and social backgrounds, but we all bleed and breathe the same. With three musicians that are white, a black bassist and lead singer, Zebras in Public is a testament that the public is one. Four different men, four different musicians, and four different backgrounds.”

We have a great feeling when we get together. Each band member has a strong musical past. We play our styles, we feel our sounds, and we live the music. We want to give you the feeling we have with our music. We feel solid and unbreakable when we play together. The crowd feels it too. We play it for mankind. We all live. We all die. Their sounds echo their self-image. Zebras in Public has the musical mind to write catchy tunes that will stand the test of time. Every song on their album “Scars and Stripes” instantly sounds like a classic. If you have a chance to listen to their music, you almost cant help but close your eyes, and remember the good times you spent at the dive bar way back when.  I can happily report that Zebras in Public have already been added to my playlist, and are loaded on my devices to listen to later. So if for some reason one of the members of Zebras in Public find this article, you can be proud to hear that your music has reached around the globe!
